Public data. Explicit boundaries.
These reports measure industry activity, not the number of listings in our directory. Employer locations, nonemployer businesses, and people are different units. We keep them separate, identify the reference year, and publish the source records behind every calculation.
Our state comparisons show concentration, not a verdict on where to open a business. The fine arts school category includes dance alongside music, drama, and art instruction; it cannot support a dance-only national count.
